Congratulations to the Ayres Family of Middleburg Martial Arts
2008 Region 21 Family of the Year
Meet the Ayres family, mother Aurora, father Jon, and children Jon
Paul, Leah & David.
The Ayres are a familiar sight to everyone in Region 21. It seems as
though there is a permanent position for one of the Ayres on every Dan
test in the Region.
Jon is a Senior Chief, serving with the U. S. Navy. He is on temporary
duty in Georgia, earning his Master's Degree. Mom Aurora achieved her
Black Belt at the age of 50, and should be inspiration for anyone
younger who thinks Dan tests are too hard.
Jon Paul and Leah are both 2nd dan, while
David earned his Black Belt at the age of 9. All three children were
awarded Best Youth Candidate at their respective dan tests. Jon Paul,
Leah and David all maintain A's & B's at school, and assist with
training and demonstrations at the dojang.
The Ayrers family previously trained in Pennsylvania with an American
Tang Soo Do Federation school.
