The 2012 Region 21 Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at
Wolf Lake Middle School
1725 W. Ponkan Rd.
Apopka, Florida 32712
Grandmaster J. C. Shin has been invited, and may attend if the new Headquarters construction and Association move to North Carolian allow.
The tournament is open to all WTSDA members in good standing, and to Tiny Tigers attending a WTSDA studio. However, only members of Region 21 are eligible for any of the overall championship cups.
There will be a Creative category for teams only, because this is a World Championship year. The winning team of the Region 21 Creative competition may represent our region at the World's.
There will be competition in Open Hand Forms, Weapon Forms, Sparring and Breaking. All wood to be used in the breaking will be provided by the tournament host. Competitors may not use any other wood.
WTSDA tournament rules are in effect. So, uniforms must meet WTSDA guidelines. No live blades are allowed. Students may only perform forms from their last promotioanl test or their next promotional test. See the WTSDA rulebook or your instructor for questions.

2012 Spring Dan Test
The Spring Dan Test will be on Friday, April 27, 2012, at the Howard Johnson Inn Plaza.
As usual practice, all applications, essays, etc should be turned in to Ms. Marilyn Nevado, no later than March 22, 2012. Test applicants should complete and attach the Test Checklist, which is part of the event info sheet. Download it here. Also see the top of this page.
Please tell your instructor of any injury or physical condition affecting your test ability before the week of the test. Leadership Club dues should be up to date for Region 21 members who are testing.
Black belt students attending but not testing should bring or wear their official uniforms, and be available to assist in the testing of your fellow students.

Saturday Evening Region 21 Dinner
On the evening of Saturday, April 28, there will be a Region 21 Dinner hosted by Master Hutchinson and Central Florida Tang Soo Do.
The dinner is open to Cho Dan Bos, black belts, their family and friends. Attire is formal WTSDA dress, that is, white shirts, blue sports coats, etc. See your instructor for more on proper dress.
Dinner will be $20.00 per person. Depending on attendance, we may dine at the event hotel in a catered affair, or allternately, we may dine at a local restaurant in a private room.
